44 consecutive years running, the annual Celebration fundraiser is our primary funding promotion each year which helps maintain our high quality of service for those with developmental disabilities. Raising a humble $2000 its first year which provided enough to hire a full-time director and live-in house counselor, the event has held various formats over the years and grown substantially. Formats included a sporting goods auction, a golf tournament, a golf with auction, and finally  today's format which includes a live auction featuring rare Napa Valley inspired lots, professional chef cooked dinner and live music. 

Why Do We Fundraise?

We rely on our amazing community to help us provide the same high quality residential and day programs we've been providing the developmental disabled community for more than 44 years. 

The funding environment for residential care facilities like ours is changing and becoming more scarce. Last year we experienced substantial cuts to our State funding and with the proposed cuts to Medicare/Medicaid that each of our residents rely on, fundraising efforts and support from donors is more important than ever. We work hard to maintain the highest standard of care for our community and have no plans to stop, but we need your support.

100% of proceeds from this fundraiser go directly back into running Vine Village, a 501(c)(3).

What's Special This Year?

1. Donation Matching

Every dollar raised at the Celebration will be matched by an anonymous donor up to $1M. The funds will be used for much needed capital improvements to our facilities.  

2. Locally Sourced Ingredients

Involving our nearby community is extremely important to us. This year we're worked with our chef to ensure as many of our ingredients are local sourced as possible. Everything from the sausage to our veggies; we will even be using fruits that were grown in our orchard this year! (See menu below)

3. 20th Anniversary of our Art Program!

This year is exceptionally special for us. Not only is it our 44th annual fundraiser auction, it is also the 20th year anniversary of our Art Day Program! We will be celebrating this monumental milestone together. 

4. Proxy Bids

Interested but unavailable on August 13th? No problem! Each of our auction lots allow for proxy bidding over the phone and we have many ways to help support our program. 

What to Expect at the Event


Vine Village is located on a beautiful and unique 25 acre ranch in the heart of the Carneros wine district of the Napa Valley. Our grounds feature one of the largest blue heron rookeries in California atop a large eucalyptus grove and a fruit orchard which we will be providing horse drawn wagon rides through.

The evening will feature live music, all-local hors d’oeuvres (some ingredients from our own orchard!) and dinner by Mari Laverne's Catering (menu below). Silent and live auctions featuring rare wines, vacation packages and one-of-a-kind dinners will be featured.
